I will be heading back to the Caymans the beginning of August and was wondering if I should procure and stash an other bottle or two of the Glenfarclas 25yr. Scotch for the West Branch trip next year!! I have not been able to find it around here but know I can get it on the Island. My only concern is that it might not be safe in my house for another 9mos but I’ll try to forget it’s there!
Your suggestions are welcome

My suggestion is to simply purchase the whole case, this way you’re most assured to have at least one bottle by early May. That is, unless you invite Louts over too often (or at all) between now and then….

A far better bet is to buy 2 and give them to your wife with strict instructions not to return them until the morning of May the 7th. After buying you that bamboo rod for your b-day, Brittany proved she certainly has your best interests at heart!

Dave, you could also buy the bottle and stash it with me until next year.
Yeah. That might work!

I’m sure if I asked the question, “Who would like to store a bottle until next year?” I’d have to bring back a case and then there’d be alot of sheepish grins come beginning of May. I like Brians idea of giving it to my wife (who doesn’t drink the stuff) to keep it under lock and key until May!!!

Are you saying Bob is not trustworthy with your singlemalt? Well if you are, you’d be correct!!! Of course I’d never get angry with him if he told us that the bottle accidentally fell and broke so long as he called me to be there when it “broke”…

Have we sunk so low as to debate whether to lay in a supply of scotch? Lout Law #7a: “Buy as much scotch as a second mortgage will allow; if really good consider home equity loan as well”. To assure safety: hide behind bran muffin mix and tofu stir fry packets; leave note to self inside reel case to find chache before Lout Trip #9.

Ah yes, Lout Law #7a, I remember it well. But what about Lout Law #7b that states “in addition to aforementioned Lout Law #7a, thou shalt not tell any Lout/other friends of said cache.”?

If I had a copy of forementioned “Lout Laws” I would have known what to do without questioning the trustworthiness of follow Louts. Please excuse my inexpirence with the “Lout Laws” and except my appology. Thank you Mark for bringing #7a to my attention.
Does anyone know where I can get “tofu stir fry packets”?
